The caravan, decorated in 60s style, has a large double bed with tempur memory-foam mattress.
The Shepherd’s Hut, a charming type of gypsy caravan, can accommodate two guests sharing a double bed, and is a typical studio style English Shepherd’s Hut with pine interior, brass bed and caravan heater.
The owner’s house is next to The Shepherd’s Hut, and guests are welcome to make use of the main house’s kitchen and living area, and chill out on the back stoep in hammocks while watching the pigs, sheep and goats go about their day. Guests are also welcome to help out at feeding times with the animals.
The sanctuary is off the grid and fully solar powered, and there are separate ablution blocks with hot water showers and composting toilets for both The Caravan and The Shepherd’s Hut.
All towels and linen are provided, and there is access to free Wifi. Phones and laptops can also be charged in the main house. Please note that there is a strict no smoking policy in all accommodation at the sanctuary and no animal food products can be brought onto the farm.
Our accommodation costs from ZAR250.00 per person per night, which includes a vegetarian/vegan breakfast at the sanctuary’s Pure Café in the village. Situated in the heart of Greyton, the café specialises in cooking with locally grown, organic vegetables that are in season and fresh from the field or garden.
Animal sponsors can also enjoy a limited number of overnight stays, free of charge.
